Pallas’s cat kittens in Mongolia - July 1 - July 10, 2025
This trip is very much an adventure as we visit the vast open wilderness of Mongolia in search of it’s elusive small wild cat.
At that time of the year we will be looking for kittens emerging from their dens among the rocks and starting to explore their world while waiting for their mother to return from her hunt.
The kittens are very fun to watch, as they begin to follow their instincts and attempt to playfully catch anything that moves. At this age it is possible to observe and photograph interactions between the kittens, and with their mother - something that is very difficult to witness at other times of the year. It is also possible to watch Corsac fox kits, Steppe polecat, Mongolian gazelle and various birds

Wild Indonesia - Javan Rhino and Sumatran orangutan expedition - August 1 - August 16, 2025 - 1 spot available
This tour is a specialist expedition style trip which focuses on the rarest large mammal in the world - the Javan Rhino.
The latest report by WWF states that as of 2023, there are only about 45 Javan Rhino left in the wild and none in captivity!
These very elusive animals were seen in the wild by no more than 50 people in modern history!
My Javan Rhino Expedition is limited to 4 people (including myself) in total due to the strict permit regulations we have to abide by to get into the core area of Ujong Kulon National Park, the last stronghold of the species.
This unique trip is one of the first to take a small group on an expedition style into the park in search of the Javan rhino. Please realise that seeing a rhino is far fro guaranteed but I believe that we are starting something special here and it can help to save the species from going extinct.
In the The second part of the trip we will fly to Gunung Leuser National Park in Sumatra, home to the largest population of wild Sumatran orangutans remaining in the world.
We will be looking for completely wild Sumatran orangutans, a different experience from seeing semi-wild orangutans near feeding stations like in a few other locations in Indonesia.
This forest is also home to Sumatran tigers, Sunda clouded leopard, Sunda leopard cats, Asiatic elephants, Sumatran rhinos, saimangs and sambar deer, however most of these species are very elusive here. We will however have a good chance of seeing wild orangutans, Thomas’s langur, white-handed gibbons, long-tailed macaques, southern pig-tailed macaques as well as a variety of birds, reptiles and insects.

The Coastal Sea Wolves of British Columbia - September 28 - October 6, 2025 - Fully Booked.
Join me on a challenging expedition in search of the rare and elusive coastal Wolves of British Columbia.
Coastal wolves can only be found in southwestern Alaska and west of the Coast Mountain Range, which separates coastal from interior areas of British Columbia. In BC, this includes the Great Bear Rainforest, many islands and archipelagos in the Salish Sea (including Vancouver Island), and along BC’s coast.
Coastal wolves’ biology and ecology includes a unique diet heavily influenced by marine resources, distinct behaviours such as swimming in the open ocean between landmasses, and morphological differences to their interior conspecifics, such as darker pelage, smaller size, and distinct cranial and dental morphology. Coastal wolves are fast, powerful swimmers who often paddle miles between islands in search of food. This trip is geared towards serious wildlife photographers who understand they are pursing a highly elusive animal Contact me for more details.

When people think of China they rarely think of wildlife and in particular mammal watching and if they do think of Chinese animals that inevitably think of giant pandas. This one species is so iconic and so famous around the world that it is hard to imagine them as wild animals that live a life completely removed from people, but in recent years more and more giant pandas are living wild lives away from the disturbance of people.

During this special trip we will take on the challenge of photographing a truly wild Giant Panda!
However this specialist wildlife tour of Sichuan doesn’t just focus on Giant Pandas, In addition, we will dedicate several days to photographing other unique animals such as Golden Snub-nosed monkey, Red Pandas, Sichuan Takin, and a variety of unique birds such as White-eared Pheasant, Blood pheasant, Lady Amherst's Pheasant, Chinese Monal and more.
